Film Director / Born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Adrián Gutiérrez began to go into Cinema in the year 2002, when he worked in the areas of Sound and Production of several amateur short films. That same year he created the group Mientras+Mejor (which translation to english would be The More, the Merrier), getting together more than 200 people with the purpose of stimulating the creation of cinema and the collaboration between the enthusiasts of this art in his native city. Upon his arrival to Madrid in 2005 to study the career of Film and TV Direction in Escuela TAI (Escuela Superior de Artes y Espectáculos), Adrián directed several short films, among them stand out “Madrid, 9 meses, 16mm” (Madrid, 9 months, 16mm), “Under the Leaves”, and “La Mano Izquierda” (The Left Hand), as well as the documentary “Mi Reflejo en el Televisor” (My Reflection on the TV). In addition, he also acted as Director of Photography in the short film “El Principiante” (The Amateur), filmed in 16mm. In 2007 he devoted himself to the production of his short film “El Problema” (The Math Problem), as well as working as First and Second Assistant Director, Original Music Composer and Audio designer en several short films shot in 35mm, and as First Assistant Director in the medium-lenght film “Una Luna Perfecta” (A Perfect Moon), of Spanish director pre-selected for the Academy Awards Daniel Chamorro.

Originario de la ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, Adrián Gutiérrez comenzó a adentrarse en el Cine en el año 2002, cuando trabajó en las área de Sonido y Producción de varios cortometrajes amateur. Ese mismo año creó el grupo Mientras+Mejor, reuniendo a más de 200 personas con el fin de incentivar la creación cinematográfica y la colaboración entre los entusiastas del cine en su ciudad natal. Tras su arribo a Madrid en 2005 para cursar la carrera de Dirección Cinematográfica y Realización de TV en la Escuela TAI (Escuela Superior de Artes y Espectáculos), Adrián dirigió diversos cortometrajes, entre los que destacan “Madrid, 9 meses, 16mm”, “Under the Leaves” y “La Mano Izquierda”, además del documental “Mi Reflejo en el Televisor”. Además fungió como Director de Fotografía del cortometraje “El Principiante”, rodado en 16mm. En 2007 se dedica casi por completo a la realización de su cortometraje “El Problema”, además de fungir Primer y Segundo Asistente de Dirección, Compositor y Diseñador de Audio en diversos cortometrajes filmados en 35mm, y como Asistente de Dirección en el mediometraje “Una Luna Perfecta”, del director español pre-seleccionado al Óscar Daniel Chamorro.
